Mayor Peter Christie gave a proclamation in celebration of Arbor Day followed by a tree planting ceremony and soft opening of the Bella Vista POA's Blowing Springs Arboretum.

The Arkansas Forestry Commission provided a Bald Cypress in recognition of Bella Vista as a Tree City USA community. The city will plant 25 native trees species in the arboretum in the next couple weeks.
