PARTNERS IN QUAIL
Pea Ridge National Military Park and Benton County Quail formed an official partnership on April 19 2017 that will allow the quail conservation group to provide more assistance to the park, particularly its quail restoration project. Nolan Moore (from left) and Kevin Eads with Pea Ridge National Military Park, chat with Kevin Sullivan and Tanner Bedwell with Benton County Quail after the agreement was signed. Benton County Quail donated $4,500 to the park after the agreement was signed. Acres of cedar trees and fescue grass are being removed to restore the Civil War park to its appearance in 1862 when the Battle of Pea Ridge was fought and also to improve habitat for quail and all wildlife.
