NWA Democrat-Gazette/CHARLIE KAIJO David Fields of Fayetteville reacts as Jerry Davenport of Fayetteville (from left) removes tape used to keep a catheter in place during a community food share, December 30, 2018 at the Seven Hills Day Center in Fayetteville.
Fields recently had surgery on his shoulder and requires assistance for his insulin, but he won't able to visit the doctor until after the holiday. Davenport, a former vet tech, said he meets a lot of people with medical needs for conditions like pneumonia, diabetes, bronchitis and COPD he offers his assistance to.
Volunteers from the group Food Not Bombs served hot meals for attendees during a community food share. They serve meals at that location on the last Sunday of every month.
