NWA Democrat-Gazette/CHARLIE KAIJO Cleeo Wright of Rogers, Greg White Of Rogers and Patrick McClard Of Rogers (from center left) load boiled water and goods onto a truck during the Fight at the Water Tower, Friday, December 7, 2018 at the downtown water tower in Bentonville.
The Fight at the Water Tower, turned charity event, started with parody Facebook accounts of city pages that have popped up in the last few days. A few people commented to turn this into something good with a charity drive.
This ‘event’ dubbed as a fight between Rogers and Bentonville at the Bentonville water tower got 3,300 people to click saying they’d attend. They’re seeking canned food, kids toys, kids jackets and other donations for the NWA Women’s Shelter, Miracle on 14th Street charities and the Samaritan Community Center.
