Doreen Williams, director of the free clothing and goods shop since it reopened four years ago, said the much-needed roof repairs were possible thanks to generous donations from a recent community fundraiser. Williams added that all the items available inside the store come from donations, and that they are always in need of clothing, housewares, knickknacks and food. “Anything you can find in a regular store,” Williams said, “we can use.” The store is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The colorful mural on the side of the building was painted by Tommy Tropical, who Williams said is scheduled to continue the piece across the front of the store in February.
