NWA Democrat-Gazette/CHARLIE KAIJO Poll worker Harlan Stee of Bella Vista (from center right) helps seat voter Barry Schwartz of Bella vista in front of a voting machine, Monday, May 7, 2018 at the fire station in Bella Vista.
Monday was the first day of early voting, and the station has unveiled brand new voting machines with accessibility features for the disabled including the blind, hearing impaired and those who are physically disabled.
The new machines arrived in January and will help ease voting traffic since all the machines now accommodate the disabled. "So if you have a line of people, you're not waiting for that one machine to be accessible," said Vicki Penny, an employee for the Benton County Election Commission, helping at the Bella Vista site.
